Through prayer we stand in the gap for the nations, trusting God to work on their behalf. By praying we recognize…
Our God is the Sovereign King over the nations! “‘Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.” Jer. 32:17
The nations desperately need God to overcome their blindness to the truth of the gospel which is robbing God of glory He alone deserves. “In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” 2 Cor. 4:4
God works through our dependent prayers in Jesus’ name! “If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.” John 14:14
We often do not pray because we don’t think it will make a difference. We also don’t pray because we don’t know what to pray. But we can have confidence and fresh content for our prayers by praying the Scriptures! Before praying the Scriptures, get unreached people group cards like the ones you prayed for at Engage Global at Joshua Project.
